We do not accept any responsibility for any loss which may arise from accessing or reliance on the information on this site and to the fullest extent permitted by English

Accessing Our Site

Access to our site is permitted on a temporary basis, and we reserve the right to withdraw or amend the service we provide on our site without notice (see below). We will not be liable if for any reason our site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

Information About Payment & Delivery of your Item/s

​

Please also note that any consignment left in our UK and foreign offices for up to 2 weeks without collection will begin to attract £5 daily charge. Storage cost charges do not include cover or protection against damage or wear and tear in our storage facilities. Failure to make the payment on an accumulated non-collected item will be confiscated until the bill is fully cleared. Customers need to be aware that we do not take responsibility for damage, wear and tear, etc on any consignment abandoned in our warehouse both in the UK and or outside of the UK. It is the customers' responsibility to collect their consignment on time; any consignment which is not collected within 2 weeks of notification will be confiscated and auctioned.

Please also note. Payment for shipped consignments must be made within 7 days of receipt of your invoice./bill.  By the 8th day,  the payment bill will incur a 10% interest charge per week. If Payment is not made in full within 2 weeks the consignment will be confiscated and auctioned.

Packaging of Item/s for Freight

​​

Customers are responsible for the proper packaging of their items. Vulu Export cannot be held responsible for any improperly packed item which resulted in loss or damage in transit of those items therein. To this end, the customer must be aware that the Handling charge does not cover the packaging of their item, please see our FAQs for more information. We reserve the right to accept or reject any item which doesn't meet our package requirements.

Packaging & Protection Promise

​

If using our Packaging and Protection service your item/s will be protected from loss or damage up to the value of £1000 unless stated otherwise.

The packaging service is not available on all item/s the below list is not exhaustive

Sending your Consignment to Us for our You Buy We Ship (YBWS) Service

​

Customers who live abroad or in cities and towns not local for drop-off us must contact us or email us before sending us any deliveries. Upon contacting us, the customer agrees to email us a copy of their international passport as well as their proof of address before sending their consignment to our office. Any customer who fails to inform us is acting against our company's terms and conditions and we shall not be held liable for any loss, rejected, or undelivered freight.

Your shipping quote/invoice may be amended when the consignment is received if it is larger and/or heavier than stated

Collection (UK) of Consignment for Shipping 

​

Customers agree to bring their Consignment to the drivers/couriers themselves as not all couriers are insured to go into customers’ premises to collect consignments. Our couriers are not obliged to lift cargo that is deemed too heavy for lifting. 

​

 

Door-to-Door Delivery in Tanzania

​

If you (the customer) have arranged a door-to-door service, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure there is a responsible person at the delivery location to accept the consignment on the arranged Delivery Date. If Delivery must be re-arranged due to no responsible person being available at time of delivery you may be re-charged for this.

Customers are advised to make payments to Vulu bank account and not to give cash to any driver delivering. Our couriers are not obliged to lift cargo that is considered too heavy for lifting.

​


Shipment of Car/Vehicle Liability

We and our partners in the UK or abroad are not in any way responsible for any goods or item(s) put in a vehicle for shipment either by Ro/Ro or by container vehicle shipment. Customers are advised to take adequate insurance cover for the vehicle to be shipped. 

​

Customers also own the responsibility of making sure that the vehicle to be shipped is in good working condition. To this end, we are not responsible and we cannot be held accountable for any electrical or mechanical fault which includes and is not limited to battery, fuel, etc.

​

 

Restricted & Prohibited Items

​

Vulu Export would in no circumstances accept or allow items classified as prohibited items as part of our freight.The services provided to us by our couriers & partners do not allow the following items on their network.​ Consignments containing prohibited items could be subject to service cancellation and/or be held and dealt with as we see fit, including but not limited to, disposing of the item.​ 

 

The temporary or permanent restriction may be applied to the items below in some circumstances:

​

  • No animal products, Goods made from or containing animal products.

  • Drugs or medicines, in any form or state, are fully restricted.

  • Hazardous, Any goods, products or other items containing, in whole or in part, hazardous materials.

  • Flammable liquids of all kinds are prohibited.

  • Perishable Goods*, Any product in which quality deteriorates due to environmental conditions over time, needs to be kept chilled or frozen. Such as perishable food like meat, fish, and dairy products. flowers, etc. are prohibited.

  • Weapons of all kinds are prohibited.​

  • Counterfeit currencies

  • Counterfeit Documents

  • All jewellery items

Any individual or organization intentionally attempting to solicit Vuluexport.co.uk to 'freight Prohibited items whether as part of a consignment or as part of a collection, verbally, in print, or through electronic media will be reported to law enforcement agencies and any such individual or organisation is liable to criminal prosecution.

​

 

Unprotected Items *Unless Supported by our Packaging and Protection Service

It is your responsibility as a customer to arrange additional coverage to protect your interest. if the item is lost within the network we will refund the cost of the carriage only 

​

  • Glass items of any kind, including glassware 

  • Fragile materials such as bone china, fine china and porcelain.

  • Furniture Including objects such as tables, chairs, desks, and beds *Packaging service not available for this item

  • Electricals or electronic devices. 

  • Instruments  (All Musical Instruments must be sent in a hard case and boxed)

  • Bicycles *Packaging service not available for this item​​

Delivery Time

​

Although we try to deliver your consignment within the specified given time, however, the delivery time might change when unforeseen circumstances occur, this is also applicable to our Express Service Guarantee. Should this happen, you will be notified immediately.

Taxes and Duties


Unless stated as Part of the Service the customer (You) is responsible for payment of any customs duties, charges, subscriptions, and any other associated charges by any Government Agencies in that Country. Unforeseen penalties, taxes and duties incurred due to false or incorrect information provided about a consignment will be the responsibility of the customer

Intellectual Property Rights

​

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights on our site and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved. You may print off one copy and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal reference and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to material posted on our site. You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences, or any graphics separately from any accompanying text. Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of material on our site must always be acknowledged.

of value, depreciation of valuables which include wristwatches and jewellery, which is not brought to our attention with appropriate insurance cover taken.
